What We Found in an Amazon Mystery Box: Dr. Martins & More — May 22, 2026

We cracked open a box today and it was wall-to-wall footwear. No surprises hiding in there, just shoes — but good ones. Seven items total, and the retail value stacked up to $292.10. Not every box blows the roof off, but this one had some genuine standouts.

The Dr. Martins Suede Boot Stole the Show

Right on top: a Dr. Martins Suede Boot at $100.00 retail. If you know Doc Martens, you know suede is the move — these things hold their value and they move fast. Our team was pretty happy about that one.

Right behind it, a pair of Nike Quest 5 Men's Road Running Shoes in Black/DK, size 11.5, retailing at $60.00. The Quest 5 is one of Nike's reliable everyday runners — not flashy, just solid. Someone in Hot Springs is going to be very happy lacing those up.

We also pulled a pair of Nike Big Kid's Flex Runner 2 Slip-On Running Sneakers from Finish Line, coming in at $52.14. Slip-ons for kids are basically a gift to every parent on the planet, and these are clean.

Then there were four — yes, four — adidas Adilette Aqua Women's Slide Sandals in size M7/W8, black, at $19.99 each. That's $80 in slides alone. Pool slides, lake slides, "I'm running errands and I don't care" slides. These will not sit long.

This Amazon Mystery Box was a one-trick pony in the best way. All footwear, well-branded, mostly new condition. If you've been on the fence about grabbing a box, days like today are exactly why we keep opening them.
